Welcome To Our Clinic!
We at Laurelwood Veterinary Clinic in San Mateo, CA are committed to providing quality veterinary care for dogs, cats, rabbits and pocket pets (rodents and other small mammals). We offer full service medicine, surgery, dentistry, radiology and have access to in-house ultrasonography from a board-certified radiologist. We also do limited boarding for cats and rabbits.
Our phone number is 650-341-7741. Our hours are 8-6 M-F; closed from 12-2 for lunch/ surgeries and we are open one Saturday a month from 8-1pm. We are located in the Laurelwood Shopping Center at 1334 Hillsdale Blvd. near the top of the hill by CSM (College of San Mateo).
I am Dr. Dani Weber, the owner. I am a 1992 DVM graduate of UC Davis and bought this practice from the former owner, Dr. Cadden, 5 years ago. Our staff includes Carrie Walton, a licensed technician with 5 years experience and Robert Gatchel, an on-the-job trained technician with 20 years experience. We are happy to welcome back our receptionist, Cindi Kuiper, after a leave of absence.
We offer a separate entrance and waiting room for dogs and another entrance and waiting room for cats, rabbits and pocket pets. We have a scale in the dog waiting area that clients are welcome to use to weigh their animals at any time.
While we do exams by appointment only, emergencies do take priority and we will fit you in if your pet needs to be seen right away. At the same time, we strive to be prompt and see patients on time.
Because there is no one here at night, we do not keep patients in the hospital overnight that need monitoring. We send post-op surgical cases home overnight if stable or to the emergency clinic if not stable. There are only a very few exceptions to this protocol and we feel our patients do very well.
*If you have an after- hours emergency, both the North Peninsula Veterinary Emergency Clinic in San Mateo and the South Peninsula Veterinary Emergency Clinic in Palo Alto are excellent. Note: Dr. Weber has stock in the NPVEC.
